SATTVA meditation
how is it different & what are the benefits
Sattva Meditation is a powerful yet simple mantra-based practice that helps you reconnect with your inner intelligence, regulate your nervous system, and experience profound calm, clarity, and vitality. Rooted in the Himalayan Yog-Vedantic tradition and adapted for modern life, this practice allows the mind to settle beyond effort and thinking into deeply restorative states of awareness.
In this course, students are introduced to Kriya 1, a foundational technique unique to this tradition that has been passed down orally from teacher to student in the Himalayas for thousands of years. Each student also receives a personal mantra through a private initiation with Susan Alden, a Sattva Master Teacher trained by Anand Mehrotra.
Consistent mantra-based meditation practice is associated with a wide range of evidence-based benefits for mind and body to include: .
Reduced stress and anxiety
Greater emotional resilience
Improved focus, clarity, and memory
Better sleep and relief from insomnia
Increased energy and vitality
Healthier relationships and communication
Support in shifting unhealthy habits or addictive patterns
A deeper connection to intuition and purpose
At its heart, Sattva Meditation reconnects you to inner silence — the quiet field beneath your mental noise. From this place, many experience greater creativity, alignment with natural rhythms, and a stronger sense of purpose.
Over time, meditation becomes less something you do and more a way of being.
