About us

Our story began when we were stationed together as young officers in the Army after graduating from the United States Military Academy in 1997.  Throughout our 26+ years together, we’ve experienced combat deployments, trained with extraordinary mentors and native elders, raised two sons, and embraced a healthy lifestyle while supporting others in their own journey to better health.  Our dedication to facilitating mind-body wellness has taken many shapes over the years. It started with The Open Door, a holistic health center we opened in 2003 near Ft. Bragg, NC along with our relentless efforts to pioneer research and programs which ultimately led to the integration of yoga and meditation into military and veteran healthcare facilities.  Today we work from our home base in Kailua, Hawai’i and offer personalized wellness sessions, fasting programs, transformational workshops, cellular activation products, and retreats which span the globe.
